Engineering the rooms where work happens.

Alder Technology designs, installs and manages Microsoft Teams Rooms and Cisco Webex Rooms for organisations working across many sites. Better audio and video, meetings that start on time, content that shares first go, and rooms that stay up.

Challenging meeting inequality

Sound familiar? Every one of these is a design problem, not a user problem.

IT leaders describe the same five symptoms to us, site after site. Hover or tap a card to see what we change so the symptom does not come back.

01Meeting start

Every meeting starts ten minutes late.

See what we change

01What we change

One-touch join, every room the same

A certified Teams Rooms or Webex console with the calendar on the panel. Walk in, press the meeting, you are in. Identical in every room so nobody has to learn a new one.

02Content sharing

The content just won't share.

See what we change

02What we change

Share content the way you already do

We leverage your collaboration software for true collaboration and content sharing with AI assistance. Cable connections are available immediately where you need them, without button presses.

03Far-end audio

The people dialling in can't hear us.

See what we change

03What we change

Measure the room before choosing a microphone

We measure reverberation (RT60) and model speech clarity, then choose ceiling, table or soundbar microphones to suit. Audio is engineered for the room, not guessed from a catalogue.

04Camera placement

The far end looks so distant.

See what we change

04What we change

Camera and display designed for the room

Camera type, camera height and display size are fixed in the design and coordinated with your fitout, so the far end sees faces at eye level and not a “bowling alley” view.

05Ease of use

It's too complicated.

See what we change

05What we change

Standard platforms, not custom control systems

We build on Microsoft Teams Rooms and Cisco Webex Rooms, with the touch panel and one-touch join your people already know. No custom-programmed control system to learn, maintain or call support about.

What we do

Three disciplines, one accountable partner.

We design the room, we build it, and we run it for the life of the contract. No hand-offs between an AV installer, an IT integrator and a support desk who have never met.

Discipline 01

Design

Acoustic measurement, room modelling and system specification. Every room is measured before we draw a line.

  • RT60 reverberation analysis
  • Speech transmission modelling
  • Microsoft 365 and network readiness
  • Fitout and furniture coordination
Our design method
Discipline 02

Implement

Configured and tested off-site in our Technology Centre. Less time on your floor, fewer defects at handover.

  • Pre-staged, pre-configured room kits
  • Tested before despatch
  • Asset-tagged and registered on arrival
  • Documented handover and sign-off

Discipline 03 Live

Operate

A managed service for the life of the room: cloud monitoring, software updates, hardware refresh and reporting.

  • 24/7 cloud monitoring
  • Software update management
  • Monthly or quarterly service reports
  • Lifecycle and refresh planning
Inside the managed service

Collaboration is not AV. Nor is it IT. It's a specialist service in itself.

Room acoustics dictate the audio. The size of the space dictates the video. The way your people work dictates everything else. One size does not fit all, and we never pretend it does.

Approach

A repeatable way of delivering rooms.

Whether you have one meeting room or 80 collaboration spaces across the country, we apply the same four steps. Predictable outcomes come from a predictable method.

Start with an audit
01

Audit: measure the space

Acoustic measurement, room geometry, network and Microsoft 365 readiness. We collect hard data on every room before anyone talks about hardware.

Room acousticsRoom geometryWorks in association
02

Design: specify the system

The right platform, the right hardware and the right integration path for each room type, documented in drawings and a signed-off specification before we order a thing.

03

Build: configure off-site

Room kits are configured, updated and tested in our Technology Centre, then asset-tagged and delivered. Less risk on your site and fewer surprises at handover.

04

Operate: monitor and evolve

Cloud monitoring, software update management, service reporting and lifecycle planning for as long as the room is in service, typically five years.

Managed service

Every room, watched around the clock.

Every system we provide is backed by a five year managed service. It is how we maintain uptime, and how you stop being the person who gets called when the boardroom fails.

  • 24/7 cloud monitoring

Every endpoint reports in. A room that drops off the network, loses a peripheral or misses an update is flagged to our service desk, not discovered by your CEO.

  • Software update management

Teams Rooms, Webex and control firmware are staged and released on a schedule, so a Tuesday update never becomes a Wednesday outage.

  • Monthly or quarterly service reports

Uptime, incidents, utilisation and what we recommend next, written for an IT leader rather than an AV technician.

  • Lifecycle and refresh planning

We track every asset from install date, so hardware refresh is planned into your budget cycle instead of arriving as an emergency.

About

Some of the most qualified collaboration engineers in the southern hemisphere.

Our staff carry the certifications, but the bigger differentiator is the depth of rooms they have built. Experience compounds. Acoustic judgement, architectural clashes, integration choices: all of it gets better the more rooms you ship.

We bring that experience to every engagement. The room you commission with Alder Technology is informed by every room before it.

Tell us about the room. We will tell you what works.

One boardroom, a new building or a portfolio across the country. We will say what works, what does not, and what we would build for it, in a document you can take to your executive.
