As we move into a post Covid working environment, one thing is for certain – conferencing has become part of the work day. As more employees choose to work remotely, those in the office require somewhere to congregate to connect with those working remotely, as well as in other offices. Alder Technology is one of the leading providers of Microsoft Teams Rooms, and systems based on other conferencing applications. No longer is video conferencing an expensive exercise with lots of hardware and complex programming requirements. The rooms are simpler, but in many ways they are much more complex to deploy. The Microsoft Teams rooms goes far beyond IT and require great skill in video, audio and acoustics. Similarly, the skill sets needed for setup and configuration of M365, Networks Cisco Control Hub and Azure are not what an AV integrator would traditionally entertain. Alder Technology recognises that the Meeting Room represents a completely new segment of the AV and IT markets, and has assembled a team to deliver these. With specialists across every level of the project, we take a project from design through to completion, helping the client through every step with the same team and a consistent message. Where a collaboration technology delivery once took three of four specialist companies to complete, Alder Technology is now able to provide as a single service.

Technology Management
Unified Communications does not end with the installation. There are many factors which contribute to a successful system, and the design and installation is only months of a multi-year commitment to your systems. With such a big investment in technology – which becomes the primary content delivery system of a room – it makes sense to protect that investment. Alder Technology provides services for the ongoing management and support of this investment. Using smart software and management tools, we integrate with your system to bring reporting, updating and management of your key conferencing space. We work with key partners to ensure replacement stock, onsite labour and key SME’s are available to diagnose and repair errors, or to provide upgrade paths to new and exciting features. Alder Technology manages the this process, gives full visibility of dashboards and equipment status, and helps integrate into your existing services like Intune.
This service becomes a vital tool for our industry partners, ensuring their works are maintained and operations, and well as giving ongoing contact and visibility with the end clients, adding considerable value to the services already offered.
The nature of software based conferencing means there will be updates, and these updates sometimes conflict with hardware solutions. A service level agreement ensures these updates do not cause major disruptions, with most rectifications able to be performed remotely in a short amount of time.
