KPMG engaged Alder Technology Consulting for an ambitious and important project – the new offices at Constitution Place in Canberra. This iconic new building in the heart of Canberra is to be the home of the federal government work performed by KPMG, and a hub for all staff in the ACT. Spread across three floors, initial designs were based on existing KPMG solutions. As the project evolved, and Alder Technology Consulting completed Proof of Concept fitouts in Parramatta and Penrith, it became clear that the technology would not be suitable to the changing requirements of the business. A thorough review was conducted with the KPMG IT department, analyzing requirements, testing equipment and gearing up for a change from Skype for Business as a base platform to MS Teams. Alder Technology Consulting redesigned the system, migrating to the Teams solution and providing the KPMG users with a consistent interface across all rooms. Even complex, multi partition spaces have the same “look and feel” for the users as they walk in, lessening the learning curve and providing a level of comport in spaces that have traditionally been somewhat intimidating for non technically minded users.
Alder Technology Consulting is providing a full delivery service for this project, with KPMG due to move in to the building in early 2021.
