AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Alder Technology Consulting has been working with Australian National University as a vendor of choice for a number of years now, and has been entrusted to oversee the design and delivery or the Zoom Rooms, Summer Classroom Upgrades, and complete a full campus wide audit of all systems in the main campus in Canberra.

One of the flagship projects was the Mills room, which is the main boardroom in the chancellery. This room was completely networked, with no analogue cable in the project. All audio was routed via AES67 and Dante over the network from a central QSC server, with wireless access point style microphones allowing full coverage across the table without unsightly cabling affecting the heritage status of the room. The rooms used Crestron for control and video switching, all via the network, while a pair of 98″ LCD’s and two digitally steerable columns rounded out the installation.

The project was awarded the AIB People’s Choice award for the ACT to the builder Hindmarsh.
