On the 1st of March 2021, Alder Technology Consulting became Alder Technology. Not a big change on paper, but a big change for us. Twelve years on from our founding, this change represents the shift in our business to meet the new ways of working, and aligns our focus with Modern Workplace and embracing all technology streams required to deliver fantastic Collaboration and Conferencing Spaces.
So what has changed?
To some of you, the change will not be great. We will still deliver the same great service you are used to with a strong focus on project management and project delivery. Our strong alliance with Tertiary Education aligns with our consulting and project management teams, and they will continue to work with our partners to deliver fantastic technology packages.
But to our new customers, and many existing customers, Alder Technology will be filling a void in the market to deliver truly great collaboration spaces. Our journey is a three year evolution, working with manufacturers, clients, IT partners and end users to work out what makes a truly great collaboration space – from concept through to design, delivery and ongoing support. We have worked with manufacturers to dive into hardware requirements, and we are proud to say some of those concepts are now Microsoft Teams certified components. We have worked with the end users to understand how they use collaboration spaces, and to understand how best to use new technology and software to enhance their workplace experience, and we have worked with our delivery team to refine our processes and ensure that the spaces are installed and configured in the most efficient and effective manner.
This is an exciting direction for Alder Technology. Three years in the making, we realise that AV should not be on an island, but neither is it part of traditional IT. It is a distinct part of the new Modern Workplace, and unique skills from each of AV and IT form this new “Collaborative Technology” discipline.
